What kind of floors do we polish in Inca and the northern villages?

The town houses in the historic center typically have hydraulic tiles or terracotta on the ground floor and terrazzo upstairs, dating from their renovations in the 1960s. What changes for the customer when the company is located in Inca?

Old houses of the Raiguer: what lies beneath the worn layer
When we peel back the layer of a 1960s terrazzo floor in a house in Inca, what emerges is usually better than the owner expected. It was made with aggregate from the island's marés and limestone, in pieces 30 or 40 centimeters thick, and beneath the grime lies a floor with character that would cost a fortune to reproduce today.
Surprises turn up too. Old repairs done with grey cement that now has to be tinted, stretches where somebody chipped through to run a pipe, and mixes of two different tile patterns because at some point the house was extended. All of that can be resolved, but it is worth knowing before signing the quote: that is why we always do a polished test patch of one square metre and show it.

Do we work with hotels and agritourism establishments in the north?
Yes, and it is a good part of the workload between October and April. The bay of Alcúdia and Pollença packs in an enormous density of hotel beds, and every one of those establishments has the same problem: the floor in reception, corridors and staircases takes a whole season of suitcases and sand.
The work is organized in reverse to that of a residential property. We start during the closing of the season or during the weeks with the lowest occupancy, working floor by floor or wing by wing, and each area is completed before the next one opens. When the work includes porches, terraces or pool edges, you also have to respect the slip resistance classes in the Basic Document on Safety of Use and Accessibility. For agritourism in Pla and Tramuntana, we add one consideration: there is almost always baked clay or stone, materials that require skill and judgment, not large machinery.
How much does it cost to polish a floor in Inca and how long does it take?
